Her training includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trust-Based Relational Intervention Trauma Focused Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Strengths Based Approaches, and Art, Sand, and Play techniques. Todaro believes that each individual has unique views, and therefore uses a variety of approaches to fit the client’s worldview and therapeutic needs. She works collaboratively with her clients and their families, using their inner strengths and family values, to ensure they achieve their goals and reach their maximum potential. Todaro has a direct, but compassionate approach to working with her clients. She understands the importance of the therapeutic relationship and works diligently to build a nurturing, safe environment where her clients feel comfortable expressing their emotions. Todaro has extensive experience treating children, adolescents, and adults with a wide variety of mental health and substance use issues. She later earned a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University in Minneapolis, MN at which time she was inducted into Chi Sigma Iota, the International Honor Society for Counseling.Īs a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor, Ms. She then earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Psychology and a minor in Criminal Justice at Walden University in Minneapolis, MN and graduated Summa Cum Laude and was inducted into Psi Chi, the International Honor Society for Psychology. An annual induction ceremony is held in the spring for new members. Students must have completed at least 18 hours of graduate coursework in a counselor education degree program and have earned a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
